The Medical Segment offers manufactures and sells semi-solid products, such as ointments, creams, and lotions; solid products, including tablets and powders for the generic drug market; vitamin c preparations, gargle, and generic skin external preparation. Its Industrial Chemicals Segment provides research and development of surface treatment chemicals; development of new manufacturing methods; products for PWBS, electronic devices, general platings, and semiconductors. The Social Impact Business Segment is involved in cooperative relationships with the local community, discovering local resources, and creating new businesses that lead to the resolution of social issues. The company was formerly known as Iwaki & Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Astena Holdings Co., Ltd. in June 2021. Astena Holdings Co., Ltd. was founded in 1914 and is headquartered in Chuo, Japan.
