Its products are used in adhesives and sealants, agriculture and fishery, air and water treatment, architecture and construction, automotive and transportation, clothing and textiles, compounding and materials, electrical and electronics, energy and resources, food and beverage, healthcare and medical, industrial and manufacturing, life and personal care, packaging, paints and inks, and sports and outdoors applications. The company was formerly known as Kurashiki Rayon Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Kuraray Co., Ltd. in January 1970. Kuraray Co., Ltd. was incorporated in 1926 and is headquartered in Chiyoda, Japan.
